I went to Yosemite to conduct research on how canopy cover affects species diversity. While we were collecting data I noticed how peaceful it was to be out in the wilderness. I loved watching the wildlife, and I was able to see animals I never knew existed, such as marmots and grouse. Observing all the different kinds of plants in an area was also something I never knew I would enjoy. With no one around me, I felt like I had the whole world to myself. This trip definitely made me appreciate nature even more.
Sincerely,
Yosemite National Park
