Greetings from Yosemite National Park

Where do I start? National Parks have been a part of my life since I was a small child. My parents took me on road trips after visiting local parks, to help me see our country and its amazing variety. We took our child on similar road trips to see as much as possible before she left for college. I have my senior park pass and have plans to keep learning and exploring through our park systems as I head toward retirement. I learn so much through our wonderful park rangers! Our adult child loved Yosemite and so many other parks she visited while growing up, that she had plans to work for the park systems after earning a degree in Ecosystems, Science and Sustainability just a year ago. Dream deferred, now she is being redirected to other areas where special skills in eco science are needed. This is ALL avoidable. Leaving our national parks to the mercy of an unregulated public this summer will trash them, as we saw with locals driving 4 wheelers through Joshua Tree, destroying the environment, several years ago. This is simply NOT ACCEPTABLE and currently, for a short window, AVOIDABLE. Please do everything in your power to stop this destruction. E-mail and most importantly CALL your representatives. This is too important to lose due to those who do not appreciate the value. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Kim
