When we first arrived at Denali National Park, I climbed onto my brother’s shoulders, intently focusing on the clouds in the distance, desperately hoping to catch a glimpse of the peak of Mt. McKinley (Denali). However, the clouds didn’t part that day, or for the next three days. Yet in the short time we were there, I soon began to look at the incredible wonders around us rather than the huge mountain looming in the distance. As we followed the Taiga Trail to Horseshoe Lake, I was blown away by the serene surroundings and mesmerized by the glittering lake below us. Along the way, we even saw a beaver dam! On our last day, as we were packing up our bags and getting ready to say goodbye, the clouds finally parted, and we got to see the full extent of the magnificent mountain! It was the perfect end to an amazing trip, and I hope to visit again.
Sincerely,
