Birding at Petersburg National Battlefield

Come birding this Saturday at Petersburg National Battlefield.

Did you know that our national battlefields protect more than America’s history? They also provide critical habitat for wildlife of all types, including birds.

This Saturday, we’re going birding at Petersburg National Battlefield to see just how many winged denizens we can find. If we’re lucky, we might even spy the park’s nesting pair of bald eagles.

Two bird walks will be led by resident bird experts, and the battlefield’s brand-new birding cards will help you track what you see. Then, stick around to build a birdhouse and a bird feeder that you can take home and place on your patio or in your backyard.
