Join us this Presidents’ Day weekend as we honor our nation's history and show our love of New York City’s national parks.
As part of our campaign to better fund our national parks, NPCA is holding a press event on the steps of Federal Hall National Memorial. And, we want you there!
Grab a poster or sign and celebrate our parks by expressing your support for them to your New York City elected representatives.
At Federal Hall National Memorial – the site where George Washington took the oath of office as our nation’s first president and where our first Congress wrote the Bill of Rights – we will stand together and urge Congress to call for funding to address the nearly $1 billion in deferred maintenance at National Park Service sites across the state.
The location for this event, anchored by national parks that honor three U.S. presidents, is a testament itself to the pressing repair needs of our parks. Combined, these three parks have a $11.2 million backlog of repairs.
Come celebrate President’s Day with us and raise your voice for the national park sites in NYC that memorialize America’s Founding Fathers.
