I managed 3 day hikes in Shenandoah NP this summer. Near Knob Mtn, a mother black bear and 3 cubs scrambled down some trees 50 feet from me and ran away too fast to give a good picture. Later, I took this shot of Stony Man Mtn in the distance (second highest in the park) from Range View overlook.

My best boy Winston and I stayed at Skyland and spent three days hiking in the park. The staff at the visitor center were so nice and helpful - pointing out hikes that were suitable for my "senior dog".
