Greetings from Shenandoah National Park

Bob and I drove the south trail on the Shenandoah Mountain scenic route, 35 winding miles high up into the mountains, 3,360 feet. Extending along the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, one of its many trails includes a section of the Appalachian. Clouds brushed and sometimes enveloped the roads. People got out of their cars to watch. Sometimes there was little to no visibility. It was beautiful, but scary as Bob’s Go Pro documents my frequent interjections of “Aaah,” “Watch Out,” and “Sh-,” attests. We parked the car on lookout points to photograph the fusion of landscapes enveloped by the skies. It is one of those sights worth seeing.

Sincerely,
Elizabeth
