Most parks I’ve visited have been with family but in 1999, I enjoyed Grand Canyon National Park with three schoolmates from my grade school days. We arrived after dark & pitched tents by headlights & flashlights. Two of our group would never agree to camp with their husbands but thought of this adventure as once in a lifetime! Waking up in the morning we realized our bedroom was nestled under beautiful tall pine trees and our mattresses a blanket of pine needles. We were already in awe of the parks beauty & we’d not even seen the canyon yet. The Grand Canyon is every inspiring word that anyone has ever given it. It’s where four old friends renewed their friendship, laughed as if we were still those young girls again and made new memories to cherish.
