Greetings from Grand Canyon National Park

I began working as a tour guide at National Parks on the west coast of the US in the summer of 2023. This photo is from one of the first times I had the privilege of joining my passengers on a helicopter ride (which could often be subject to cancellations during monsoon season). On this occasion however, the flight was not cancelled and instead, we experienced amazing views after emerging from a small rain cloud. After the fact, the pilot asked us to send him the photos and videos we took since our flight was particularly beautiful and he obviously wasn’t able to take photos of his own.

Even someone who flies helicopters over the Grand Canyon nearly every day was able to appreciate the beauty of this protected and sacred land. This reminded me to appreciate the nature around me which can often be overlooked when you have a job that takes you to these natural wonders on a weekly basis.

Sincerely,
Seth

Grand Canyon National Park

America’s Southwest is full of breathtaking canyons, but none as famous or as widely visited as the Grand Canyon. This world-famous landmark offers wondrous views, spectacular hiking, exhilarating whitewater rafting and countless adventures. One look across the enormous chasm confirms just why this inspirational place is one of the seven natural wonders of the world and a must-see destination for so many travelers. The park also protects a wealth of biological diversity, including numerous endemic and threatened species and several rare ecosystems.

“I support the parks because they have shown me the healing power of nature and have taught me that tour guiding is a passion of mine that allows me to share these unbelievable sights and the power they hold with others.”
