I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and got up each morning looking at the Blue Ridge Mountains. My all time favorite GO TO PLACE is Big Meadows in the Shenandoah National Park. My Daddy took us to “look at the leaves” every Fall and I continued visiting the park as I grew up. My husband and I lived about 15 miles from the park entrance and we visited there throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall. We have moved to Georgia now, but still visit the Park and stay at Big Meadows at least twice each year. I just love spending time on the Skyline Drive and meeting people from all over the world who are either visiting or working there.
Sincerely,
Shenandoah National Park

“I want the parks to be there for future generations. I want little girls, like I was, to be able to grow up and remember visiting a park throughout their lives. ”
