Shenandoah National Park was our first. It was the first park my wife and I visited, but hopefully there will be many more. It was also where we spent our first anniversary. I remember seeing the sign at the entrance and how excited I was (although I will admit the sign at Yellowstone was definitely more inspiring & humbling).
Since this time we have seen the majestic cactus at Saguaro, the imposing peaks of Grand Teton, the magnificent geysers & hot springs at Yellowstone, as well as countless buffalo, pronghorns, and two foxes. One of which almost caught his lunch right before our eyes. And, oh, how I forgot about the black bear cub.
National Parks are simply amazing…
Sincerely,
Shenandoah National Park

“I love seeing how national parks make people feel. Everyone is unique; therefore each experience will not be the same. Some people love nature, some people find themselves in parks, and some come for the breathtaking views. I support the parks for all of those reasons, but, more importantly, I support the parks for the pursuit of happiness, in whichever form it may come...”
