This - not terribly exciting - photo collage, represents a day in the life of volunteers in the park’s Invasive Plant Program. Some of these hardy folks are event volunteers, while others are Habitat Defenders (I serve as both) who manage a section of the park with regard to removing invasive/exotic plants for the good of the flora and fauna native to the region.
Sincerely,
Shenandoah National Park

“...they have been a blessing to me, and so many others, here in America. I have spent a great deal of quality time, throughout my life, in Virginia's Shenandoah National Park, and Manassas Battlefield Park, thanks to the efforts of those who maintained these national treasures before me. Now it is my turn to do the same for our posterity, and I do it with great pleasure.”
