Those who have experienced a national park know that they have been involved with something more than just a pleasant visit. Those of us who have taken part in the experience of a park stay know that at its best, it involves something deeply spiritual and transcendental that we carry with us permanently. The budget for our park system is a tiny, tiny fraction of amounts spent for war. Let us continue to support “America’s best idea” with full funding so that future generations will have the opportunity to be moved and awed by the majesty of our wonderful national park system.
Sincerely,
Shenandoah National Park
