It’s hard to choose a favorite NP, but there’s something particularly special about the GSM. Growing up near a national park was a gift, one I didn’t realize I had until later in life. The drastic changes of the seasons mean something new each time you visit. There are days with gorgeous views (and you understand why the mountain range is called the Blue Ridge Mountains), and then days where the fog hangs low (and you understand why it’s the Great Smoky Mountains). The soft, rolling mountains never seem to end and there are an endless amount of hikes to choose from.
Sincerely,
Great Smoky Mountains National Park
