Get moving with NPCA to protect national parks!

In the face of a changing climate, habitat loss, record visitation, cuts to funding and staffing — you have the power to give back to the places that have given us so much. So it’s time to get moving.

Join NPCA’s 30 Miles in October Challenge! Commit to walking 30 miles in October to raise critical funds and awareness for our parks. Walk a mile a day — or 10. It’s up to you.

30-mile October Challenge Join Now

What: This is a 30-mile virtual walk challenge to support the National Parks Conservation Association.

When: Commit to walking 30 miles by October 31.

How: Walk a mile a day - or 10! You choose your challenge level.

Why: Rally support from your friends and family to raise awareness and critical funds to protect and enhance America’s national parks.

Is there a fee to join? While there is no fee to join and no minimum fundraising commitment, every bit helps! We encourage you to set a fundraising goal of $200. Participants who raise $200 or more will receive a credit to order an NPCA T-Shirt from the NPCA store!

Can I run 30 miles instead of walk? Sure! You are welcome to choose your challenge — run, hike, bike, move — just strive for 30 miles!

How do I track my miles? You track your own progress. You can post updates on your personal fundraising page or social channels. NPCA does not currently have an integration with fitness apps to manage mile tracking.
