Richard Diaz is a veteran of the United States Army. He served overseas in Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division and continues to serve his community through multiple nonprofits including National Parks Conservation Association.
Richard is a member of the National Honor Society and National Society of Leadership and Success. He is currently finishing his bachelor’s degree at Our Lady of the Lake University in social work with a minor in criminal justice. He will use this degree along with his multiple Reiki Master degrees to expand his level of service. When he is not studying, he can be caught serving the community with numerous organizations. He serves with Vet TRIIP, The Mission Continues, Gardopia, and as an active member of the Rotary Club of Alamo Ranch, where he served as past vice president and president. National Parks all over Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado continue to support Richard’s healing and management of symptoms gained from post-traumatic stress disorder and multiple traumatic brain injuries. He understands the immense healing power nature has and wants to make sure future generations are able to enjoy parks as he has.
