Laura Atchison has been with NPCA since 2005 and is currently Senior Director of Board Relations.
Laura has worked with NPCA’s Board of Trustees throughout her tenure at NPCA including planning and implementing board meetings, supporting board committees as well as trustee recruitment and retention. She previously managed NPCA’s National Council and has provided executive department interface with Regional Councils and the Next Generation Advisory Council.
Prior to coming to NPCA, Laura spent twelve years at The Phillips Collection Museum in Washington where she held positions in visitor services and security, special events and the office of the director. She grew up outside Harrisburg, PA, where she and family enjoyed visiting national parks sites in the Mid-Atlantic. Visiting national park units both small and large is a tradition she has continued with her own family in sites around the country. She has a BA in Art History and Religion from Gettysburg College.
