Julianne Reas is a social scientist, climate and environmental justice advocate, and national park lover. She received her Master of Science in Natural Resources from North Carolina State University, where she also studied communication.

She is currently a Scientists in Parks Intern with the National Park Service’s Climate Change Response Program. There, she incorporates social science and storytelling to help decision-makers understand and plan for climate change. She believes societal and environmental issues are inherently interconnected, and that harnessing community power is the only way we can create a more equitable and just future.
