Joana is an environmental justice advocate and outdoor enthusiast majoring in Environmental Engineering with a minor in Business Administration at the illustrious Benedict College.
Her passion lies at the intersection of engineering and public policy. Drawing from diverse fellowships and life experiences as an immigrant and first-generation Latina woman in STEM, Joana aspires to leverage her background to amplify and promote diversity and inclusion within the environmental movement. In her spare time, you can find Joana hiking or camping at Congaree National Park with her boyfriend.
