Ashley Toney is a junior biology major at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University from Atlanta, GA. She originally chose biology as her major because she wanted to be a pediatric surgeon.
She loves helping people, but being an advocate is what sealed the deal. She was fortunate enough to secure an internship with the National Parks Service this past summer. Getting the “behind the scenes” of what really happens within national parks was defiantly an eye opener. As soon as something didn’t seem right, her first question was “What can I do?” She feels that NPCA can provide her the environment and community to explore more ways to be the solution instead of the problem and she definitely looks forward to this upcoming year.
