Aaron King is a Director at JS&A, an economic development consulting firm based in Washington, DC. At JS&A, he combines his background in public policy and urban planning to help create more resilient communities.
His work focuses on economic development strategy, economic and fiscal impact analysis, and public-private partnership development. Prior to his time at JS&A, Aaron received in BA in Public Policy with a concentration in Urban Planning and Historic Preservation from the University of Delaware.
In recent years, Aaron has worked with multiple national parks to analyze their positive impacts on nearby businesses and local economies. He is interested in the concept of “nature-based placemaking”, a concept first developed by the Pennsylvania Downtown Center, as a driver for local conservation and economic development efforts.
Born and raised in Washington, DC, Aaron recently moved to Baltimore with his partner. In his free time, you can usually find him catching ballgames at Camden Yards, exploring different Baltimore neighborhoods, and visiting the Chesapeake Bay as much as possible.
