I have been through Yellowstone many, many times, especially when I was younger and traveling by car from East coast to the West, and from the West to the East. We nearly always went through Yellowstone. What a breath of fresh air for the long journey, especially before cars had A/C.
Since 1998, I’ve been going back again and again to the Lamar Valley to observe the wolves and other wildlife in the valley. I stay for several days and stay in motels just outside the park.
The Lamar Valley feeds my soul.
Sincerely,
Yellowstone National Park
America's first national park is named after the river that runs through it. Within the park's massive boundaries, visitors can find mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and some of the most concentrated geothermal activity in the world. The park has 60% of the world’s geysers, as well as hot springs and mud pots. It is also home to diverse wildlife with the largest concentration of mammals in the Lower 48 states, including grizzly bears, wolves, bison and elk.
