I wrote Yellowstone in order to continue, but I’d like to write a tribute to all National Parks and Monuments. It has been my great pleasure to have spent a year with my spouse traveling through the United States in an RV. We stopped at every National Park and Monument we could. Each is memorable, whether for its historical significance; it’s natural beauty; it’s seasonal display of flowers or leaves; or, my personal favorite, it’s wildlife. One highlight was watching a herd of bison crossing the river in Yellowstone, the little ones being protected by the adults. It’s breathtaking to watch nature in the wild. Please protect the parks for everyone. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Yellowstone National Park
America's first national park is named after the river that runs through it. Within the park's massive boundaries, visitors can find mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and some of the most concentrated geothermal activity in the world. The park has 60% of the world’s geysers, as well as hot springs and mud pots. It is also home to diverse wildlife with the largest concentration of mammals in the Lower 48 states, including grizzly bears, wolves, bison and elk.
State(s): Idaho Montana, Wyoming,

“They are spectacular and provide all of us with respite from the demands of life. They also provide homes for some of our cherished wildlife. They are uplifting and remind us of what truly matters.”
