Mt. Rainer is very near my home and I have always loved visiting. My grandfather summited the mountain twice during my lifetime and often took my brother and I to various locations within the park when we visited. As a child I also had the opportunity to take a road trip with my family from Seattle Washington all the way to Orlando Florida. We stopped at all the National Parks possible along the way and also planned the route based on the parks to visit. The United States is one of the very few countries to be so blessed with a wide variety of landscapes and climates. We are also very lucky to have all these places set aside for everyone. The National Parks are an invaluable part of our heritage, pride and experience as Americans. We must keep them maintained, open and available to all who call America home.

Mount Rainier National Park
Majestic Mount Rainier is the highest peak in the Cascade Range and an active volcano with more glaciers than any other mountain in the United States. Just an hour's drive from Seattle, the park's wild landscape feels much further from civilization. The forests, parkland, wetlands, lakes and rivers offer 260 miles of trails and varied habitat to dozens of plant and animal species.
