After several years of planning, we finally enjoyed the Grand Canyon to its fullest in June 2013. With some friends, my wife & I hiked down into the Canyon and spent 3 nights. We hiked out, leaving at 3 AM, 9 miles up the Bright Angel. It was such a surreal experience. After getting out, we contacted our family only to find out our grandkids had been tracking our progress and were learning about the Canyon while we were in it. We picked up the Jr Ranger Passports for them and they have already started their journeys.
Sincerely,
Grand Canyon National Park
