Along with 20 other students at the Glacier Institute Invasive Species Student Symposium, I headed into Glacier National Park to conduct a weed-pull. After trekking through mud, we reached our spot, where we surveyed random portions of the plot of land for invasive plant frequency. Finally, we pulled the invasive plants out, using methods meant to prevent the resprouting of those plants. After a morning of pulling weeds, we headed toward Apgar, where we took a break and looked across the lake. Lake McDonald was calm, and the reflection of the mountains off of the lake surface was perturbed only by the occasional ripple.
Sincerely,
Glacier National Park
