My whole life Yellowstone has been on my bucket list of go to places. Finally I went for my first time this summer. I have been researching for years. I knew exactly what to do. We went swimming in the Firehole river, the Madison river and where the boiling river and the Gardener meet. We went to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. We went to Hayden Valley, Lamar Valley, and Tower Falls. We relaxed in Nature. We watched Bison. We actually got stuck in two bison jams. We hiked to the viewing point of the Prismatic Springs. We saw old faithful, we ate like kings. We went to Mammoth hot springs. We did everything. It was the greatest trip of my life. Please go to Yellowstone. - Andre McMahon of the Sierra Club and the National Parks Conservation Association
Sincerely,
Yellowstone National Park
America's first national park is named after the river that runs through it. Within the park's massive boundaries, visitors can find mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and some of the most concentrated geothermal activity in the world. The park has 60% of the world’s geysers, as well as hot springs and mud pots. It is also home to diverse wildlife with the largest concentration of mammals in the Lower 48 states, including grizzly bears, wolves, bison and elk.
State(s): Idaho Montana, Wyoming,
Established: 1872
“I support the parks because they are essential to Nature. Without the National Parks the world would be doomed.”
