Greetings from Glacier National Park

Last summer, I attended the Glacier Institute along with twenty other teens from the San Francisco Bay Area. Over the course of ten days, we learned about the Crown of the Continent and some of the threats facing the national parks such as invasive species. In addition to conducting research on various species, we also went on multiple hikes to gain a deeper understanding of our surroundings.

After an uphill battle with the muddy terrain and pesky mosquitos, I finally reached the top of Polebridge; fortunately, the breathtaking view made the sweat and sore legs totally worthwhile. A pleasant breeze blowing in my face, vast acres of luscious forests, a crystal clear lake, I was blown away by the majestic beauty of Mother Nature. It was an experience I will never forget and I look forward to exploring other national parks in the near future.

Sincerely,
Nolan
