I took my wife and kids to see Yosemite’s beautiful falls in May, when spring runoff was at its peak. Our 5- and 7-year-olds were mesmerized by towering Yosemite Fall and loved our little exploratory hike along the boulders up to the base of the falls. Even our 1-year-old couldn’t help but notice the wisps of water coming down from the high cliffs. Later we stopped along the Merced River to gaze at Half Dome looming in the background. The sun bathed everything in a warm late-spring light. It was a great introduction to our national park system for the kids and one I hope to replicate for years to come.
Sincerely,
Yosemite National Park
