It was my first visit to Yellowstone National Park and I nearly lost my mind (in a good way). To define what is real in the world today, you have to leave the world you know behind. As a single traveler to Yellowstone, I was able to see so much, hear so much, smell so much… It was more than just waking up and breathing the cold air of Lamar Valley… it was an unveiling of beauty minute after minute. One of my favorite parts of being at Yellowstone was waking up, driving to Lamar Valley, seeing animals along the way, and sitting down by this valley to see what morning mist would unveil. I believe I sat here for 2 hours eating fruits, taking pictures, and resting my soul. It was such a great trip. Can’t wait to go back one day!
Sincerely,
Yellowstone National Park
America's first national park is named after the river that runs through it. Within the park's massive boundaries, visitors can find mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and some of the most concentrated geothermal activity in the world. The park has 60% of the world’s geysers, as well as hot springs and mud pots. It is also home to diverse wildlife with the largest concentration of mammals in the Lower 48 states, including grizzly bears, wolves, bison and elk.
