My father/mother took us out west for 2 weeks camping around 1956/57. We visited the Corn Palace, Wall Drugs, the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Devils Tower, Jackson Hole, Yosemite, ……..It was my only vacation with my father and I still remember even though I was only ¾!!! My Dad left and divorced my mom shortly after this. If the parks had been closed, I am sure I would have fewer or no memories
Sincerely,
Badlands National Park
