My aunt and I have been super close ever since I was born. When I was around 10, she moved from Milwaukee to Chicago, and the distance was insanely tough for me. A few years later, she and my uncle moved out to Montana to run a bed and breakfast (Yellowstone Suites!) right outside Yellowstone. The distance is still a huge challenge for me, but I now make a point of visiting them almost every summer. Yellowstone to me means fun, family, and adventure, and it’s one of my favorite places in the entire world.
Sincerely,
Yellowstone National Park
America's first national park is named after the river that runs through it. Within the park's massive boundaries, visitors can find mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and some of the most concentrated geothermal activity in the world. The park has 60% of the world’s geysers, as well as hot springs and mud pots. It is also home to diverse wildlife with the largest concentration of mammals in the Lower 48 states, including grizzly bears, wolves, bison and elk.
State(s): Idaho Montana, Wyoming,
Established: 1872
“They support the protection of plants and wildlife while being fun and exciting as well as contributing to our economy! One day, I hope to work for the National Park Service and continue to work to support the parks.”
