Greetings from Acadia National Park

This is a recent photo taken at Acadia National Park. My park story is not about one park, it is about a lifetime of visiting and enjoying our National Parks from the east coast to the west coast. I have visited many of our National Parks and each one has some special memory for me. Whether trying to see every geyser and mud pot in Yellowstone or seeing the historic homesteads in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Traveling the Highway to the Sun in Glacier National Park to the majestic ruins at Mesa Verde National Park each place is special in its own way. From Hurricaine Ridge in Olympic National Park to the depths of the Grand Canyon this is nature’s beauty at its finest. Cross country skiing in Yosemite National Park to hiking in Bryce And Zion National Parks….I have only mentioned a few of my lifetime of experiences in our National Parks.

Sincerely,
Elaine

With 45 miles of historic carriage roads to bike and 125 miles of trails to hike, Acadia is a premier destination for the adventurous and outdoorsy. Among the park’s granite peaks is Cadillac Mountain, which at 1,530 feet stands as the tallest mountain on the Atlantic coast.

“I want them to be there for future generations. My parents introduced me to the National parks as a child, I in turn spent many summers with my husband and children in the National Parks. We have enjoyed vacations with our grandchildren in the beauty of the National Parks and they are avid hikers, rock climbers, skiers, boaters, fishermen, enjoying all that our parks offer. We anticipate that our great grandchildren ( when they arrive) will love their time in our National Parks . ”
