Finally got to South Dakota this summer. Our home is in North Carolina. My Dad always said this was the most unusual place he had seen in all his travels. He was right. Millions of acres of beautiful grassland with this ungodly “bad land” in the middle of it. Quite a sight, plus a huge herd of bison and oodles of prairie dogs make a great side show. Allow at least a half day to take it in.
