One lovely day, while setting out our lunch on a picnic table, a small black bear ambled into our camp. While scrambling to close our car doors where there was even more food, and for protection from the unknown trespasser, our little dog, Cindy, came to our rescue and chased said bear up a nearby trail. With our hearts in our throats with concern for her, we followed her, but little black bear did outrun her and we all returned to camp to enjoy our meal. A very exciting and favorite memory of our very favorite park!
