I don’t usually write these type of things, but this is one of my two compulsions. The other is the PCTA.
I never donated to a charity or organization. Then I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail with my wife in 2014. We were actually wed upon completion of the thru hike. Ever since then, I have been moved to donate to two organizations; The PCTA and the NPCA. These two entities are doing their absolute best to keep what I identify as the true spirit of these park systems alive in the best ways they know how.
A series of experiences with these systems over a lifetime have culminated in a definitely life changing experience and I feel compelled to support the effort.
Sincerely,
North Cascades National Park
North Cascades National Park Service Complex encompasses 684,000 acres of wilderness, trails and rivers, as well as Ross Lake and Lake Chelan National Recreation Areas. In this vast terrain are jagged mountains, hundreds of glaciers and old-growth forests that have never been cut, with large, magnificent trees and tiered canopies of fir, hemlock and cedar. The snowy winters at this park produce stunning waterfalls in the spring — a phenomenon that is so beloved, the Cascade Range is named for them.

“I married my wife while hiking through 2,660 miles of them over six months along the West Coast in 2014. ”
