My husband and I wanted to walk down into the Grand Canyon, so we chose November, a suggested time for the temperature. We made reservations at Ghost Ranch, not early enough to stay in a cabin, but we stayed in gender separate bunk houses. We stayed over night two nights. We did not think we could walk out a day after walking in. Surprises, most languages we heard in the bunk houses were other than English. We never saw food disappear so fast as in the dining room there. On our way out, we encountered a young man on his way in and also on his way out as we were walking out, he was running, down and then up. Definitely an experience of a life time.
Sincerely,
Yellowstone National Park
America's first national park is named after the river that runs through it. Within the park's massive boundaries, visitors can find mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and some of the most concentrated geothermal activity in the world. The park has 60% of the world’s geysers, as well as hot springs and mud pots. It is also home to diverse wildlife with the largest concentration of mammals in the Lower 48 states, including grizzly bears, wolves, bison and elk.
