My husband and I enjoyed 2 wonderful days in beautiful Acadia NP. While the eastern cliffs were spectacular with hidden coves along the Atlantic, we particularly enjoyed the interior carriage ways with the Rockefeller bridges. Each is a unique stone faced construction. The untouched flora at every height looked naturally manicured and was delightfully many shades of green.
This park is one of my favorites. We are so truly blessed with unique parks that it is impossible to select one that is at the top. Our National Parks are truly America’s best idea.
Sincerely,
Acadia National Park
Along the rugged coastline of Maine, this gem of the Northeast offers ocean shoreline, coastal forests, remote islands, rocky mountains and historic lighthouses. With 45 miles of historic carriage roads to bike and 125 miles of trails to hike, Acadia is a premier destination for the adventurous and outdoorsy. Among the park’s granite peaks is Cadillac Mountain, which at 1,530 feet stands as the tallest mountain on the Atlantic coast.
