We invite you to enjoy interactive activities, including a guided nature walk and crafts for all ages inspired by the outdoors – all just 5 miles from downtown LA.

This event takes place in the Rim of the Valley, a region rich in natural beauty and history right in LA’s backyard. For nearly a decade, NPCA has been leading a community-based effort to advocate for the national park designation of the Rim of the Valley as part of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. Covering 118,000 acres, this area offers a unique opportunity to preserve some of the last wild lands and historic sites in the greater LA area, ensuring it remains accessible for everyone, now and in the future.
Please note: In an effort to preserve the natural habitat, dogs are not allowed in or around the Center as their presence and scent disrupts the environment for wildlife being protected in the park.
