National Parks Conservation Association and the American Institute of Architects’ Design for Risk and Reconstruction Committee (DfRR) invite you to join a unique conversation bringing together architects, designers, financiers, funding experts, policy makers, insurers and advocates involved in resilience to climate change in our coastal areas.
The interdisciplinary panel focuses on understanding the cross-industry relationships and strategies that are essential to addressing the complexities of planning, financing and insuring waterfront plans and projects. Participants will leave with a better understanding of the challenges we face and the collective advocacy needed to ensure coastal communities are protected. Professionals in resiliency design will leave with a template for creating a project funding strategy, along with a checklist of experts to involve.
Speakers include Cortney Worrall, Senior Regional Director, NPCA; Janice Barnes, PhD, LEED AP BD+CGlobal Resilience Director, Perkins+Will; Joyce Coffee, Principal and President, Climate Resilience Consulting; and Alan Front, President Conservation Pathways.
