Congress: Our parks are worth fighting for!
In order to face understaffing, climate disasters, and longer-term impacts, parks need funding, so when parks need financial resources, we don’t find ourselves caught in cumbersome negotiations. Our parks need action now and cannot wait.

See more ›These IRA-funded projects throughout some of our most treasured and historically significant national parks respond directly to Americans’ concerns if more is not done to address climate change. In fact, 4 in 5 Americans support IRA’s funding to the National Park Service to rebuild green infrastructure, which makes our parks stronger to climate change.
Though IRA’s climate provisions are monumental, we look forward to more opportunities for parks to receive the resources and staffing they need in order to recover from climate disasters and build stronger and better to face the unprecedented, long-term effects of climate change. Ultimately, this means more permanent funding for parks specifically to address climate change.
To face climate change with our best resources, we need our national parks to thrive and lead the way. Americans are united over our public lands, making them a political solution as well as our physical way forward, demonstrating how places can rise to the unique and unprecedented challenges of the climate crisis.
